Alex Donelly

 

Alex has worked in the radio and music industries for over 20 years. His radio career started at Kiss and progressed to Radio 1 where he was Head of Music and Live Music 2000-2005. His successes at Radio 1 included an act-breaking new music policy and creating the One Big Weekend and Live Lounge brands.

He joined EMI Music Publishing in 2005 as Senior VP A&R where he signed Scouting for Girls and A&R’d Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ album.

In 2008, Alex rejoined the radio industry as Head of Music at Channel 4 and subsequent to it’s demise, has been consulting for Virgin Records, ACM Music College, The Retroscope and others.
